Is InvisalignⓇ Right for Your Teen?

Is InvisalignⓇ Right for Your Teen?

If your teen needs orthodontic treatment, the thought of wearing braces for a lengthy period may be thoroughly unappealing to them. The “metal mouth” look, the upkeep, interference with what you can eat, discomfort, and more are all big turnoffs. We understand!

What if we told you there’s a smile-straightening option that blows away all those disadvantages? Now we can because we offer a revolutionary orthodontic treatment called Invisalign that has completely changed the world of smile beautification.

Dr. Ali Saeghi provides Invisalign treatment, and patients have embraced it wholeheartedly because of its significant benefits. No matter what treatment you seek from Modern Age Dentistry, you’re certain to get expert treatment delivered with warmth and care by Dr. Saeghi and the entire Modern Age team, including our adorable therapy dog, Princess!

How does Invisalign treatment work?

Rather than using archwires, brackets, and hooks for the elastic bands that are needed with traditional braces, you’ll be blown away at the simplicity of Invisalign. The treatment platform consists of clear plastic trays, or aligners, that are custom-made to fit snugly over your teeth. These are made when you begin treatment, from impressions or scans of your mouth that Dr. Saghi takes to create your customized treatment plan.

You wear your aligners between 20 and 22 hours per day, but you may remove them when you eat your meals and when you brush your teeth and floss.

We provide you with a new set of aligners every couple of weeks. Each set is subtly different from the previous set, and over time they shift your teeth into the desired position.

Whether you have an overbite, underbite, crowding, or other problems, Invisalign solves them beautifully — and quickly — often in close to half the time it takes for braces to correct your smile!

Much of the popularity of Invisalign is right there in the product’s name — when you’re wearing your aligners, no one can see them! Teens, in particular, love this feature since the middle and high school years tend to be a time when kids are very much wanting to look the best they can.

In addition to Invisalign, we also offer ClearCorrect, another innovative aligner treatment. ClearCorrect trays are durable and address issues such as gaps between the teeth, crowded teeth, and uneven spacing.

As with braces, your teen will need to use retainers after treatment with Invisalign or ClearCorrect in order to preserve treatment results. If they do this, their smile will wow everyone for years to come!

Orthodontic treatment using aligners offers many teen-friendly advantages

Our teen patients and their families are often sold pretty quickly on the benefits of Invisalign and ClearCorrect once they start tallying up the pluses:

It’s no wonder teens, in particular, love Invisalign. Their smiles can be perfected, but they can completely bypass the awkwardness and discomfort associated with braces while they’re receiving treatment.

Don’t delay investigating whether Invisalign or ClearCorrect treatment is right for your teen (it probably is). Say goodbye to cumbersome old-school orthodontic treatment for your child and “Hi there!” to Invisalign! Plus, these treatments are also ideal for adults, no matter how many years it’s been since you were a teen.
